Theaters Against War presents “Radio Free Fahad.” The next vigil will be held tomorrow (Monday) night, 6-7pm.
As Fahad Hashmi’s trial moves closer, Theaters Against War’s vigils for Fahad continue in full force with two special guests this week: Broadway luminary and long-time THAW Advisor Kathleen Chalfant (Angels in America, Wit, Talking Heads, and many more) and downtown theater favorite Joanie Fritz Zosike (20-year veteran actor with The Living Theatre and director of DADAnewyork). We’re also thrilled to have long-time Howard Zinn collaborator Brian Jones returning to serve as a guest emcee! Please come out and join us as we bear witness to the “Guantanamo at Home” happening right here in the US…in New York City.
If you haven’t already, please go to the website http://www.educatorsforcivilliberties.org where you can send a letter to Attorney General Holder telling him to lift the SAMS (Special Administrative Measures) that have robbed Fahad of his Constitutional rights. This action is urgent right now with Fahad’s trial due to start on January 6. You can also sign the Statement of Concern on that website too.
