`Abdullaah’s next court hearing [for extradition to the U. S] is on Monday and Tuesday [Dec 7 & 8th], starting at 10am and will last until around 4pm. Up until now, there has barely been ANYONE except his family and lawyers, and ofcourse the media that never tires from bashing him and painting a very negative picture of him.
Please come next week and see for yourself who the real `Abdullaah is. He’s a soft hearted young man who loves his family.
During one of his recent court hearings ‘he said Pakistani and U. S. interrogators had threatened violence against him and his family. “If someone tells you, if you don’t tell us you are selling missiles to al-Qaida, we are going to rape your sister, what would you say?” Khadr asked during his cross-examination by federal government lawyer Howard Piafsky. When Khadr briefly lost his composure, he was asked by Piafsky if he “needed a moment” before the cross-examination resumed. “I need a life. I don’t need a moment,” responded Khadr, at which point his mother left the courtroom in tears, with his sister following behind.’
His court hearings also revealed that he had been tortured in Pakistan in 2004 and 2005.
All we are asking is for people to come out and educate themselves about his case, and stand up against this injustice. If he’s extradited to the U. S. he will be added to the countless Muslims on the list of innocents persecuted in the name of America’s so-called “war on terror”. This HAS to stop, and it wont stop until we break free from silence and paralysis.
Note: No one, including the lawyers, know the court room before the day of. Just walk in to Osgoode (there is only one public entrance) walk down the hall straight, you will have to go through to sets of doors. After the second set of doors to your right will be the elevators and to the left will be the escalators and a listing of all the cases taking place in the court house that day with the court room. It will be listed under “Khadr” in the first section of options.
