George Bush has been a previous winner of the Islamophobe awardsTHE Islamic Human Rights Commission has announced the return of the Islamophobia awards.
The spoof awards are the result of ordinary people world-wide nominating and then voting for a list of people by region whom they believe to be the worst perpetrators of Islamophobia in the previous year.
As with previous events, IHRC is asking the general public to nominate and vote for this year’s contenders.
There are five geographical categories:Africa and the Middle East, Americas, Asia and Australasia, Europe, Russia and the UK.
A special Award, Islamophobe of the Year, will also be announced later this year.
If you would like to nominate someone, send their name and the reason why you’d like to nominate them alongwith sources or URLs to back up the nomination to the commission or vote for existing contenders.
