Aafia.. abused again.. and again.. by the media..

After being offline having fallen ill rather quickly – and trying to recover – I went online today to check the news on Aafia.  What I saw was so frustrating.  I saw various articles.  I saw one where they apparently have Aafia’s son in Afghan custody.  I saw another where he is allegedly in US custody.  I saw yet another where they have done DNA testing (warning: that is a wash. post article and should be read with extreme caution, especially if you are sensitive to spun news) and the results say there’s a good chance that he ‘could be’ an offspring of Aafia.  I thought DNA was pretty definitive.  Go figure, maybe the US Government can even change the DNA chain, or think they can. 

In any case, they all said he was arrested with her in June. That tells me that these are all based on the lies that have been spread around the net and kept alive by the likes of hate groups like jihadwatch and those Islamophobics who love to comment on any news site. 

Anyone who has followed this case from the start cannot possibly fail to see this.  This lie defines all logic.  It has more twists and turns than a plate of spaghetti.  It’s creators are the meatballs.  Or shall I say meatheads?

I would ask that anyone with any doubts please read the history.  I have a pretty good one here.  Follow all the links, they are very useful!  Cageprisoners has archives.  I am putting together a large file of archives going back to the beginning.  Muslimmatters has some excellent material. 

Even on this blog if you go back a bit by searching the site you will see a pattern.  Someone mentioned the ‘Grey Lady’.  Next thing you know, Aafia turns up – what a coincidence!  (I think not).  The US admits having had her.  Oops… no they don’t, because as a matter of fact she was arrested while trying to shoot a couple of soldiers. 

The next thing we know, she shows up in NYC looking like she has been in hell… pardon me, Bagram for four years.  She is in terrible terrible condition.  One question we should all ask – if she is not the “Grey Lady’ – who IS?

What worries me now is the fact that she isn’t talking to her counsel because of the ‘full cavity search’ being too painful.  I wonder if it’s that of if she’s being threatened.  She does still have three children missing. 

Unless each of us reads up and educates ourselves on the facts of this case – the liars are going to win.  Sadly a lot of people would rather believe the lies than to accept that their government(s) were complicit in a crime like this – against women and children, no less.
